As you know last weekend I organised a group event for us to tick off our bucket list goal together. You can read more behind why we wanted to do this here.
Having so many of you wanting to join in made it a pleasure to organise.
Funny enough the charity; Save the children also had muddy puddles on their mind and were reaching out for people to raise funds for their Peppa Pig Muddy Puddle walk!
This has made my heart a little warmer knowing we are raising money to help a child in need aswell as getting our little ones into the great outdoors and just letting them be little.💗
On the morning of the event, in true Brit style, the heavens had opened and made sure there was plenty of puddles available to our little jumpers!💦☔️
After such beautiful sunshine the week before this rainy weather, was gladly received. 🙏🏼☔️
We came fully wellied up with our rain coats and umbrellas ready to meet with our little team full of excitement.
The weather drizzled for a full 10 minutes into our walk and then disappeared making it the perfect condition for our wellie walk.
From the start until the end, the children (and I!) were jumping, splashing in puddles and exploring the woodland to their hearts content.
I never knew just how much fun something so simple could be. The children absolutely loved jumping and exploring and even new friendships blossomed. 🌸 The fact they were allowed to get as mucky and wet as they wanted, really allowed them to let go and get into the moment. This is priceless for me!
Letting children just be children, its so important.
After a good 40 minutes splashing our way through the woodlands, we waddled over the finishing line and straight into the San Remo Café to have a well earned rest and to collect our certificates. 🥇 🥈 🥉
Each child was presented with their certificate and medal, along with a goodie bag filled with specially donated goodies! A massive shoutout to all the small businesses who helped to make these goodie bags a success! 💝
Amy from Amys amazing faces was there to offer her face painting skills and a que formed quicker than a Peppa Pig episode! (Literally, how quick are those bloody episodes!)
With a grateful heart, I am super proud to announce, we completely smashed our target of raising £200 for Save The Children!!
Not only did we smash it, we DOUBLED IT!! With all your help we raised a grand total of £406.75!! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!
Considering just £85 will feed a family of 7 for a whole month, imagine just how far £406.75 will get them!
I want to thank everyone who took part, the sponsors, everyone who donated and the amazing small businesses that came together to help me create an amazing little event!
A special shoutout goes to the gorgeous Hunter Champion, who even though he is too little to walk, raised a whopping £110 for Save the children!!
Also a special mention to our handsome Harry Fox who was the little jumper of the day and really got stuck in to it! (literally & to much delight of his mumma)
I hope you had as much fun as we did, guys!
I really would love to organise more bucket list events as a group in the future, if this sounds like something you would be interested in, then drop me a message with your thoughts or any feedback.
Lets make this happen!
