Sleeping in a forest has been on our bucket list, ever since 'The Gruffalo' days! Being out in the forest just has adventure written all over it and a lover of the great outdoors we couldn't be more ready to experience this!
Center Parcs in Elveden became our 'home from home' for the last 5 nights. They offer a number of different stays from this 5 weekday break to a long weekend, it really will suit everyone. With locations scattered all over the UK, you will be spoilt for choice on which one to visit!
January Blues?! Not over here! 🙋🏽🙅🏽
So after spending all day in the 'subtropical paradise' swimming, splashing and Starbucks'ing, we settled back into our cosy wooden chalet to tick this off our bucket list! ✔️Sleeping in a forest, was so much fun and technically, we didn't even sleep in the outdoors, so Win, Win!(Bet you wanted to see that one lol!
Centre Parcs, Elevenden is set upon 400 acres of beautiful woodlands and lush forest. Scattered around, is modern wooden cabins fully fitted with flat screens, kitchen, bathrooms and even hot tubs and saunas! My kinda, sleeping in a forest ;) There is wildlife LITERALLY on your door step! We even saw muntjac deers strolling past with her babies. There is something so exciting about being surrounded by the great outdoors and all of the nature and visitors it brings! Having breakfast outside, watching the steam drift off my latte, into the cold morning air, was the highlight of my mornings. ahhh, going to miss that!
If your thinking about booking a break at Center Parcs, I cannot recommend it enough! Its completely family friendly, catering from newborns up to grandma's & Granddad's. The restaurants and cafes on site all have bottle warming and baby food stations. Sponsored by Heinz may I add, so little mouths eat free! (On jarred food from the Heinz counter) All the restaurants have soft play areas, providing lots of fun whilst mum and dad wait for dinner to arrive!
Happy babies, happy mumma, they say! There is even a crèche where you can book them in for a few hours and head off to the spa. Trust me, the off loading of children will be worth the visit. Go and relax!
I'm so glad that sleeping in a forest, was actually in a high end chalet! The wildlife roaming free, and beautiful breakfast dates outside were our highlight! We have already booked to go again next year. This is definitely a little gem of a place and I can see many of our family memories being made here.
Until next week,
